Bedore, Joseph M. Jr.
Managing Director - Accounting and Operations
Mr. Bedore is a Managing Director of Hillenbrand Partners and is responsible for accounting and securities operations. Prior to joining Hillenbrand Partners, he oversaw the securities processing and transfer and paying agent functions for LaSalle Bank National Association's CDO and CMBS groups in Chicago. Mr. Bedore was responsible for disbursing between $8 billion and $10 billion each month and also oversaw the receipt of securities as a condition of closing CDO deals. While at LaSalle Bank, Mr. Bedore was responsible for the implementation and daily operation of Euroclear settlement systems and oversaw the custody and movement of foreign cash. Prior to working at LaSalle Bank, he spent 12 years at Bank One N.A. and its predecessors. The first five years of that tenure involved security processing in trust operations followed by seven years in operations for Banc One Capital Corporation. Mr. Bedore was responsible for the accounting and operations functions of the CMBS and RMBS portfolios managed by Mr. Hillenbrand. Mr. Bedore participated in and closed a number of securitization transactions, including those involving the MACH ONE CDO Platform and the Mortgage Partnership Finance and MPF Shared Funding® programs with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Additionally, Mr. Bedore supported One Equity Partners (Bank One N.A's private equity arm) by maintaining the general ledger, as well as holding responsibility for funding their German office. Mr. Bedore also supported Banc One Capital Corporation's investments in hedge funds, CDOs and futures portfolios. Mr. Bedore received his B.S. in Business Administration from Marquette University in 1989.
Hillenbrand, Jeremy T.
Director – Commercial Mortgage Investments
Mr. Hillenbrand joined Hillenbrand Partners Commercial Real Estate group in 2006. As Director of Commercial Mortgage Investments, he sources and evaluates commercial mortgage debt in both the primary and secondary markets. Based on an analysis of real estate fundamentals, he projects how the performance of the underlying collateral will impact the price and yield of real estate debt. He then makes recommendations to the group’s managing partners. He also manages the CMBS portfolio by monitoring the underlying collateral and recommending courses of action based upon on the performance of the security. This involves evaluating monthly remittance reports, liaisoning with the servicers, and performing risk management with respect to portfolio hedges.
From 2004 until 2006, Mr. Hillenbrand was employed with General Dynamics in Washington, DC. As a Project Manager, he developed and executed pricing data, funding sources logistical support for Foreign Military Sales cases implemented by the United States Coast Guard. He also assisted in preparing the budget for the U.S. Navy's surface fleet. From 2002-2003, Mr. Hillenbrand worked for the Real Estate Investment Group at John Hancock Financial Services, where he assisted in the surveillance of the firm's mortgage loan portfolio. In 2001, Mr. Hillenbrand also served as a Summer Associate in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities group at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Hillenbrand earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He earned his M.A. in International Affairs from American University in Washington, DC.
Kubo, Lesa M.
Director – Technology
Ms. Kubo joined Hillenbrand Partners in May 2006 and is the Director of Technology. She is responsible for the strategy and management of Hillenbrand Partner’s technology environment including network infrastructure, security, application development, data management, trading floor support, and business user support. In addition, she works closely with the business teams to determine areas where technology solutions could improve processes, increase efficiency, and ensure business continuity. Prior to joining Hillenbrand Partners, Ms. Kubo spent over 19 years in various technology–related positions at JPMorgan Chase and its predecessors. Her most recent duties included managing high priority projects, relocations, and merger–related migrations for the Investment Banking trading floor server and personal computer infrastructure in Chicago. Additionally, she had held the position of Head of Support for the Banc One Capital Corporation where she managed a team of technicians. Her responsibilities for that role included providing daily support, project management, production assurance management, change management, application support, disaster recovery support, audit compliance, and acted as the business advocate and liaison to the central technology departments. Her experience also includes two years of service with the Chicago Board Options Exchange from 1995 to 1997 supporting server, trading floor, and back–office computer environments. Ms. Kubo received her B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and has also studied Finance at DePaul University.
Paszczykowski, Ryan
Director — Commercial Mortgage Investments
Mr. Paszczykowski joined Hillenbrand’s Commercial Real Estate group in 2007 as a Director. He sources and evaluates the underlying collateral and performance of CMBS offerings and non-performing commercial mortgage debt in primary and secondary markets and makes recommendations to the group’s managing partner. In addition, Mr. Paszczykowski monitors the underlying collateral and bond cash flow distributions, directs the special servicer on work-outs for non-performing loans, and recommends courses of action based on the performance of the security.
Prior to joining Hillenbrand Partners, Mr. Paszczykowski was a Director of CMBS at Fitch Ratings. During his time at Fitch, he led the ratings process of fixed and floating-rate CMBS by analyzing the credit characteristics of loan and bond structures and communicating rating conclusions to investors and issuers. Mr. Paszczykowski received a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Accounting from the University of Toledo in 2000 and a M.B.A. in Finance from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University in 2004. Ryan is also a CFA charterholder.
